In addition to delivering training courses and workshops, ASDI provides a wide range of consulting and support services to organisations. Our support services are designed to provide flexible solutions to clients who are seeking to outsource non-core activities, or project-based initiatives.
Examples of the range of specialised consulting and support service activities we undertake include:
Customised course design services to meet specific business needs. Our experience extends to meeting the design and development needs of large multinational Oil & Gas companies, public sector entities such as the Department of Education, and not-for-profit organisations. Course design and delivery strategy often includes the integration of face-to-face workshop delivery and online learning to access the benefits of blended delivery options.
Business Incubation consultancy, coaching and mentoring support. We have experience in business incubator establishment and support services. Our incubation support services include developing the infrastructure, screening, evaluation and selection of prospective candidates, developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and provide coaching and structured mentoring support services to tenants/residents in order to develop and commercialise their business opportunities. Incubator experience includes developing 400 nascent entrepreneurs in South Africa in a project funded by a government training authority, together with our coaching and mentoring engagement of start-up ventures at the ThincLab Chalons Incubator in France.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Services. Recognition of prior learning is a flexible tool and cost effective option for both individuals and organisations to recognise prior learning and current competency of staff. As such, RPL avoids replication of learning previously undertaken and accelerates learning outcomes towards a recognised award or qualification.
Creating degree pathway recognition options for Corporate in-house training courses. Many medium to large organisations have in-house training departments tasked with overseeing competency development of their staff. These organisations build competency development frameworks through a range of in-house courses. Organisations can seek to improve the employee value proposition of their in-house courses by aligning it with degree equivalent courses and gaining credit towards a formal qualification. Let us review your in-house courses and create alignment and recognition, as we have done for Shell Finance Learning’s inhouse courses and University of Adelaide’s Master in Project Management.
Conceptual design and development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs). We have experience in designing and developing MOOCs for an Australian Go8 university. This includes concept development, high level design, developing appropriate teaching and learning strategies, storyboarding and script development, learning activities and animation. Our first MOOC hosted on the edX platform has attracted 160,000 student enrolments to date.
Developing first-of-kind, nationally accredited courses. Accredited courses are national qualifications that carry National VET Regulator (ASQA) approval, and as such are registered on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). ASDI has designed, developed, and accredited a Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation. These courses are then made available to other educational institutions to deliver, such as TAFEs (e.g. TAFE North Queensland, and TAFE SA) and other private providers.
Consulting and Advisory Services. We provide subject area expertise to individuals and organisations in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Project Management, Risk Management, Asset Management, and Leadership and Governance.
